How has Uptycs prepared for GDPR?

How does GDPR affect the way companies use Uptycs?

Uptycs’s services are not generally intended to be used for processing personal data and we provide flexible configurations which allow our customers to configure and filter system telemetry being collected. If, however, a customer believes that it may submit personal data to Uptycs services for processing and wishes to execute a Data Processing Addendum pursuant to GDPR, the customer may submit a request to gdpr@uptycs.com.

How can Uptycs assist customers in meeting their obligations under GDPR?

As further provided in our Data Processing Addendum, as a Processor, Uptycs can assist customers in fulfilling their obligations as data controllers by:

  • Supporting customers in complying with requests from Data Subjects
  • Aggregating applicable personal data for customers replying to requests from Data Subjects
  • Replying to investigations and inquiries from supervisory authorities concerning
  • Processing activities on behalf of a customer
    conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments

Does Uptycs use Subprocessors?

Uptycs uses third-party hosting providers and other service providers (as well as Uptycs affiliates) to provide subscriptions services and support to our customers. For a list of the Uptycs affiliates and other service providers that may be engaged by Uptycs or a Uptycs affiliate to process Customer Personal Data as defined and set forth in our Data Processing Addendum (subprocessors), please visit our security page.

How can Uptycs help address requests from Data Subjects?

For any requests or inquiries related to Data Subject Access Requests, please contact gdpr@uptycs.com. Uptycs has a procedure to intake, review, and manage customer requests arising from Data Subject Access Requests. Such requests will be handled by Uptycs on a case-by-case basis.
