Regional Sales Manager 

Four Locations: Boston, Bay Area, Texas, Chicago

Uptycs is looking for four highly motivated, self-driven and experienced Regional Sales Managers to grow and expand our market presence in the Boston, Bay Area, Texas and Chicago regions. This person will be responsible for driving all sales efforts within the territory. You must be extremely result driven, customer focused and technically savvy in building relationships to deliver Uptycs to security organizations in your territory.

As the Regional Sales Manager, you be handling all day to day activities within your assigned territory. You will take Uptycs' product capabilities and value to potential clients and serve as the face and voice of Uptycs.  Efficiently and effectively build out your respective region, secure key wins and capture business.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead account strategy to generate new business growth and add to our list of clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within enterprise clients
  • Identify customer requirements and engage in evaluations with decision makers
  • Drive business development and effectively manage all buying cycles and pipeline
  • Work as a team with Sale Engineers and other Uptycs team members
  • Willingness to travel
  • Forecast accurately and achieve revenue targets

Sr. Field Sales Engineer 

Two Locations: Boston, Bay Area

Sales Engineering is a critical function of the Uptycs sales team. In this position, you'll work closely with Regional Sales Managers as a key contributor in winning deals and driving revenue. You'll be the trusted technical advisor to a wide range of customers from Fortune 500 enterprises to SMB. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the benefits of Uptycs by explaining technical features, demonstrating the value of the platform and removing potential roadblocks.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills to deliver Uptycs messaging through demos, presentations, webinars and evaluations
  • Work with the sales team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objectives, showcase the value of the Uptycs platform and develop the strategy to remove blockers
  • Deliver demos to prospects/customers to further sales opportunities
  • Drive prospect evaluations to ensure technical wins
  • Work closely with the Uptycs product management team to effectively represent the “customer view” and recommend enhancements based on prospect/customer feedback
  • Be willing and able to recommend the security best practices, cloud architecture and platform and application infrastructure required to successfully implement the Uptycs solution
  • Willingness to travel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with sales teams serving as a technical sales engineer
  • Experience presenting and delivering technical demos to executives, architects and security team staff
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP or other cloud providers
  • Experience working with various server operating systems and related technologies (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SQL and other relevant programming languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Understanding of security solutions and workflows

Customer Success Engineer

In your role as Customer Success Engineer, you will thrive in a fast-paced, SLA sensitive environment, directly helping customers manage their assets using the Uptycs Security Analytics Platform from end to end. Approaching problems logically and rationally, your primary communication is based on slack/ phone/ tickets/ cases. You're comfortable with occasional calls or remote screen sharing sessions using Google Hangouts or Zoom. The ideal person for this role is skilled in delivering a high level of customer service while being effective at problem solving, decision-making, time management and immediate prioritization of tasks as assigned.

This role requires the ability to:

  • Solve highly complex problems, involving broad, in-depth product knowledge or in-depth product specialty that may include support of Uptycs, building SQL reports and performing data analysis.
  • Balance technical expertise with a high level of customer service.  
  • Efficiently manage customer relationships and thoroughly document support requirements and cases in CRM/Confluence.
  • Collaborate across teams and products when required to resolve customer issues.

Required Skills/Experience include:

  • 5 - 6 years of related customer and technical experience.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases.
  • Experience with Linux Operating System (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
  • Experience with some of the modern relational databases.
  • Skilled at optimizing largely complex SQL statements.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as NaN
  • Good understanding of Virtualization Technologies/Cloud.
  • Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live issues.
  • Experience in managing database servers, working in cyber/IT security, or experience with Python and nodeJS would all be a plus.
  • AWS/ RHCSA certifications would be welcome.

Content Marketing Manager

In 2019, 50% of new customer wins were sourced from inbound marketing efforts. As the content marketing manager, you’ll help continue and build upon this momentum, strategically driving the growth of our thought leadership, SEO, and overall content marketing program. The content marketing manager role presents a ripe opportunity for someone who loves conceptualizing, producing & publishing interesting content for a technical audience across a variety of formats.  

The right candidate will have both cyber security and content marketing experience with the ability to manage the content marketing process end to end. Working with internal subject matter experts (SMEs), an external content agency, and your marketing teammates, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Creating & managing a content calendar that encompasses a full-funnel focus (ie top of funnel educational content down through demo videos and field-ready content) with input from internal SMEs
  • Writing, producing, editing and publishing blogs, case studies, infographics, presentation slides, video, etc
  • Coordinating and editing content alongside our internal SMEs including our CEO, Security Engineers and Product Managers
  • Coordinating promotional efforts
  • Conducting keyword research efforts to inform SEO & content planning purposes
  • Educating the sales organization about new content offers
  • Measuring the efficacy of content marketing efforts

This role reports to the Director of Marketing and will work cross-functionally with product management, engineering and sales. 

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of content marketing experience with a background in security marketing

  • An understanding of HubSpot CMS for website content, blogging & reporting

Product Marketing Manager

As the first product marketing manager, you’ll be spearheading a critical function within a growing marketing team. Heading into 2020, Uptycs anticipates continued hockey stick growth supported by rapid cycles of product innovation, significant sales and marketing investments and a continued focus on customer success. This will be a challenging and dynamic role for a motivated individual with strong leadership, communication and marketing capabilities. 

The right candidate will have product marketing and cyber security domain expertise, with an understanding of the competition in endpoint & cloud security. As the key translator from customer to market, you’ll also have a grasp on the challenges and requirements of key buyer/influencer personas. Your overarching goal will be to ensure that new and existing features and functionality are described accurately and enticingly to help attract and convert new customers. 

Specifically, the product marketing manager will:

  • Support go-to market planning and execution for new product/feature launches
  • Write and produce website copy for product feature and use case pages
  • Script and produce market ready demo videos or product highlight reels
  • Host webinars: develop topics, slides and have authority to speak on Uptycs hosted webinars (with the aid of internal SMEs)
  • Conduct customer interviews and produce case studies or other types of content featuring the voice of the customer
  • Support the development of demo scripts and presentations for tradeshows
  • Help to develop sales playbooks for target buying personas
  • Develop product one-pagers or other field ready materials
  • Work with content marketing to help develop a content calendar that incorporates the showcasing of key product features/functionality 
  • Write blog posts and/or interview internal SMEs (subject matter experts) to help produce technical blog posts

This role reports to the Director of Marketing and will work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, sales, and customer success. 

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of marketing experience
  • 3+ years of security marketing experience
